I will dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
